28 DAYS: ADVENTURES FOR THE SOUL.
Dear friends, family and faithful followers,
I apologise for Day 25’s delay. I got food poisoning yesterday when I ate a roast duck salad for dinner and got very sick. Ewe!
Alas, I’m back!
Before I fell ill, my beautiful mum and I spent the day at the beach: swimming, chilling, sipping on coconuts and pouring down chocolate ice cream!
I know I often talk about big goals and daring dreams, but today I’d like to bring up the simple pleasures in life. Simple pleasures are an important part of living your best life!
(Can I get an “Amen!”?)
As Walt Whitman said:
A morning-glory at my window satisfies me more than the metaphysics of books.
Indeed!
As Soul Searchers we become easily swept up in the meaning of life and the purpose of things. (Or maybe it’s just me?)
Other people may become distracted by To-Do Lists or stress.
Or maybe you experience a combination of both or something different.
In anycase, I want to remind you to make time for simple pleasures this weekend. Don’t worry about not completing that project or meditating four times.
Look at the flowers peeking into your room, sip slowly on your earl grey, do something fun that doesn’t cost money. Notice the simple pleasures and be blessed.
May your weekend be sweet!
I AM AWARE OF THE SIMPLE PLEASURES IN LIFE. I AM HAPPY AND FULFILLED!
Love,
Carmia
