28 DAYS: ADVENTURES FOR THE SOUL.
A cup of dreamy Vietnamese coffee and we were off! Eight hours on the road for an afternoon at Halong Bay!
Halong Bay, also known as “Descending Dragon Bay” is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and features thousands of limestone karsts and isles.
Surrounded by this wonder, we boarded a cruise ship to the center of the Bay where we canoed to smaller bays; beneath soaring spirit-filled eagles, amongst stalactites and around stalagmites. We also went hiking in popular caves! Absolutely breathtaking.
Sleepy from the journey, we met an old friend and traveled by bike to “Chicken Street” for a catch-up. We reminisced about how precious life is. It is short and deep; bright like LED lights in Hanoi’s skies.
Love and a friendly Vietnam smile,
Carmia
